Senior Accountant - Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax-related work papers, returns, and financial reports, while supporting partnership accounting and broader finance activities. This role collaborates with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and timely response to information requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and review tax work papers, including fixed asset and other supporting schedules; analyze documentation and coordinate with internal teams to gather required information.
- Validate the accuracy of tax filings by reconciling to accounting records and ensuring proper recording of assets, liabilities, and equity accounts.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to assess business impact.
- Support preparation of regulatory filings and related payments.
- Assist in creating financial reporting packages, including financial statements and variance analysis.
- Review accounting records for compliance with governing agreements.
- Prepare cash flow analyses and support forecasting activities.
- Monitor capital expenditures and identify funding needs.
- Assist with financing-related processes, including periodic funding requests and coordination with external parties.
- Support operational reporting and project tracking.
- Perform general ledger updates and corrections as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA a plus).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
